Trumpcare a ‘disaster for Missouri, and for the 24 million Americans who…would lose health insurance’ - McCaskill

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill tonight released the following statement after the independent, nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released a study showing the U.S. House Republicans’ healthcare plan would raise the number of people without insurance by 24 million over the next ten years:

“With Republicans fully in control of government, I’ve tried to keep an open mind about any healthcare reform they would offer. But Trumpcare is a disaster for Missouri, and for the 24 million Americans who in the next ten years would lose health insurance because of it. This radical plan would especially hurt older Missourians, Missourians in rural communities, and people with disabilities. It would only really help insurance companies, their highly-paid CEOs, and the very wealthy.”
